Welcome at Regio Scouting Eindhoven
International
The Regio Scouting Eindhoven is a part of the Dutch Scout Movement: Scouting Nederland. You can find our Regional Scout Centre at the city of Eindhoven at the Netherlands. Our region exists of 28 Scout groups in the area of Best, Eindhoven, Nuenen and Son en Breugel. You can find the local groups on the map on the "groepen"-page.

Scouting stands for friendship, teamwork, excitement and pleasure, but also for a responsible way of learning to deal with both nature and people. Every Saturday or Friday Scouts in our region come together with their local sections to undertake various activities. A few times a year the sections have regional activities, like a theme day or a regional camp. The region is also responsible for the training program of the staff members of the local groups. Public relations is an other task of the region.

The most groups in our region have these sections:

  • Bevers, boys and girls age 5-7 years: beaver; rainbow
  • Kabouters, girls age 7-11 years: brownie
  • Welpen, boys 7-11 years: cub
  • Esta's, boys and girls 7-11 years: cub; brownie
  • Dolfijnen, boys and girls 7-11 years: dolphins
  • Scouts, boys and girls age 11-15 years: scout; guide
    (other terms still in use are Verkenners and Gidsen)
  • Explorers, boys and girls age 15-18 years: venturer; ranger
    (other terms still in use are Rowans and Sherpa's)
  • Pivo, boys and girls age 18-24 years: rover; ranger
    (other term in use is Jongerentak)

Every section brings the Scout programme adapted to the own age group. We do games, searches, sports, we go to the woods and go camping. Some local sections have a specialty like water or air. There is also group for handicapped Scouts. We work all together and experience that way a real adventure.

The leaders of the region and every section are volunteers. We wear all a uniform, practical clothing to play and to scout. Every section has it's own colour shirt (red, green, beige, orange). Every group has its own group tie. Our region has an regional tie in the colour dark green with an orange line and the regional logo on it.

The Dutch Scout Movement Scouting Nederland is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (W.O.S.M.) and a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (W.A.G.G.G.S.).
